41 weeks

We're healthy, happy, and excited to meet our son!
We had our 41 week appointment Thursday and we're both doing very well- so well in fact, that both my body and baby's think we should just stay pregnant forever. Traitors.

About Me:
-I've switched from counting down to my due date to counting up ;) I'm 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant (does that mean I win the game?)
-Some days I don't believe that I'm still pregnant and am frustrated by the fact. Then, there are days when it really doesn't bother me since David and I are really enjoying our last few weeks with it being just us two.
-I'm very excited to meet our son, and introduce him to David.
-I've packed and repacked the baby's outfits daily. I just can't decide which I want to put him in first.
-I have a few contractions daily but nothing painful.
-I'm really not that uncomfortable, as many would assume when I tell them my timeline.
About Baby:
-He measures at 38cm (fundal height)
-His heart rate was 130bpm when still and up to 160bpm when kicking at the monitors during the non-stress test.
-His amniotic fluid levels are really good, twice the requirement.
-The little guy is still very responsive to things resting on him and doesn't cooperate with being a shelf for my coffee mug or my ice cream bowl.
-Baby's eviction notice is set for Wednesday (one day shy of 42 weeks) if he doesn't come out on his own before then.

We decided that giving baby boy some extra time before inducing was the best plan as he's not in any danger and my body isn't ready for labor. We're praying that over a long weekend my body will take the steps to ready for labor and we'll naturally progress before Tuesday. If nothing happens, than we'll be admitted to the hospital Tuesday night and our doctor will slowly induce and hopefully i'll be in full labor by Wednesday. Thank you for all your prayers and messages- we're so happy that our sweet baby is doing so well and that nothing has given us or the doctors a cause for concern or medical intervention.
