Guess what?

 What a joy it is to announce that David and I are going to have a baby!

-I am 14 weeks pregnant (second trimester)

-I'm feeling great, was only sick for a few weeks but nothing terrible.

-Due date is unofficially October 12th, 2014

-This is the first grandchild for the Micheners, and number seven for the Partins

-David and I found out together, so there isn't a good story of how I told him

-We'll find out if it's a him or her next month but for now its name is Little P or Minion. 

-I'm just barely showing...

Sharing the news:

We've been taking our time sharing the news with loved ones over the past few months. At first we wanted to keep our little secret to ourselves to just soak it all in. What a crazy new chapter we're heading into! Then, I had the opportunity to see my parents in Georgia where I was able to tell them in person like this:

When I got home, David and I video chatted with his parents and told them they would have grandchild #7 by October. For the last three years they've been given a new grandchild each year and we thought we'd keep up the tradition.

We called each of our siblings after that and then started on Grandparents. Being the first grandchild on my side, it has been such a joy to upgrade all the family members by a grand or a great-grand :)

Friends were next. 

I absolutely loved Melissa and Lindsay's reaction! 
Friends have been so supportive and excited for us in our new adventure. Each one has expressed such joy at hearing our news- I wish I had pictures of each of them as I told them i'm pregnant.
