Ironically, moving from Del Rio includes Phase III: Move back to Del Rio. Sounds exasperating, huh?!
Phase One and Two: was to move out of our house at Lauhglin, and to Sheppard AFB (click link for post)
Phase Three is to move back to Laughlin, but we'll only be here for two weeks. After David Graduated from IFF at Sheppard AFB, we had to move back so he can out-process from Laughlin AFB. It usually takes a few days to get the paperwork complete, but Laughlin is "special" and it's been known to take a week. It's actually a blessing to be back, since we can spend Thanksgiving with our wonderful Laughlin Family one last time.
Phase Three isn't all roses, however, because we moved into a storage unit in town while we went to Sheppard, so we'll have to retrieve our things and nestle them in a truck for the long drive to North Carolina. It's going to be a lot of work! This will be the third time we have moved our boxes for this move AND unfortunately isn't the last. Lucky us, we have friends here who are wonderful at helping us.
Phase three does end with us PCSing from Del Rio (Permanent Change of Station), which we are excited about. Both of us love a good road-trip, and Zoe doesn't mind being in the car for long hours. We already have a book on CD all figured out and a route mapped. The Partins will be on the move Dec. 1st. Keep us in your prayers :)
Stay tuned for Phase 4 and 5 of moving from Del Rio to North Caroline (Yea, it is the longest move in history!)
