This is how David and I celebrated three wonderful years of marriage:
First, we went to Uvalde to antique at one of my favorite shops
Then, we came back home and started dinner!
The menu:
Rib eye steaks (marinated in wine, tomatoes, and onions for 6 hours),
grilled and served with a creamy scallion and Gorgonzola sauce.
It was accompanied by Yukon gold whipped potatoes and a grilled asparagus salad
with fire roasted tomatoes and feta cheese.
The appetizer:
Asiago cheese on french bread with tomatoes and chives
(we were took hungry to take a picture before taking a bite)
Gorgonzola sauce:
Asparagus salad:
The finshed steak and potatoes:
We set the table with a linens and toasting flutes from our wedding.
The dinner was a complete success and nicer than anything we could have found in this one-horse town. Not to mention, David and I love cooking elegant meals and pairing flavors.
And for dessert:
A cheesecake, with dark chocolate glaze and peanut butter mousse.
It was the perfect dinner after a relaxing day with my wonderful husband.
In the morning I made him a gourmet breakfast:
Raspberry sour-dough waffles, peppered bacon, with a side of strawberries.
