Class 13-08 just painted the "Solo Tank" today symbolizing David and his classmates will be scheduled for their solo flight this week!
Each flight the student pilots completes are important; however, the most memorable flight will be their solo flight. This week holds the first time David will be flying the T-6 without the safety of the instructor pilot in the plane.
Traditionally after the student lands their solo flight successfully some of his classmates (about 10 people) will be waiting by this tank filled with water to throw them in. Each student accepts the dunk of honor knowing everyone flies solo and everyone gets dunked.

I can't believe their solo flights are already here- I will be posting pictures of David's "dunk of honor" next week sometime.... Stay tuned.
