Isaac: 8 Months

Isaac is 8 month old!

About Isaac: My sweet boy is so curious and interested in his world. This month he has starting to crawl (in his own way) and loves to explore the house. Everything goes in his mouth so we're careful to keep the floors clean. Zoe's toys (especially her Kong) are his absolute favorite crawling motivators. When Isaac spots one of her toys on the ground, he makes a B-line for it. However, as soon as Zoe notices him crawling towards her toy, she gets up to bring it to him. It's an all day effort for me to keep her toys out of his mouth.

Isaac is in 12 month clothes, when it's a clothes-wearing type day. He frequents the kiddy pool daily and LOVES watching the sprinkler. Isaac naps twice a day for 2 hours each and is sleeping wonderfully at night. Lately, he's been terrorizing his crib before falling asleep- we find blankets and pacifiers all over his room. He's a strong nurser but really enjoys eating solid foods. This week his favorite puree is zucchini, corn, & pear! He's able to self-feed finger foods and celebrates his success in hand-mouth coordination with squeals.
About this month:

Isaac saw his Grandma Michener this month and played with her in the garden. He showed her how he likes to eat grass and the barkdust Zoe brings him to throw. Isaac celebrated his daddy's first fathers day this month! He picked out a card that was as big as he was:

It's so fun to see Isaac's relationship with his Zoe grow into a friendship.
