Happy 1/2 year, dear Isaac!
Our baby is 6 months and growing up way too fast. Isaac loves being a big boy; weather he's wanting to feed himself, drink water from our glasses, or talk when we're talking, Isaac loves doing big boy things. We discovered his love for drinking water during dinner. We'd take a gulp from a water and he would opens his mouth as wide as he could and grunt until we pour a little in his mouth. He usually spits most out in his attempt to swallow but his mouth quickly opens again for more. Isaac LOVES food and thinks rice cereal mixed with carrots is the best thing ever. His good eating habits have earned him 17lbs 5oz and 28 inches in length at his check-up last week. He's right at average for weight but 99% in height for his age. Isaac is sporting 9 month pants and sleepers, with 6 month everything else. Isaac's new tricks this month include talk/screaming at the mirror and other babies, spitting on demand, scrunching his nose, and sitting up on his own. He's a very curious fellow and I love helping him explore his surroundings.
About This month:
It was a very big month for Isaac. He saw lots of family, visited new places, and celebrated his first Easter. Grandpa and Grandma Michener flew over for their spring break and spent a nice long weekend snuggling and kissing on Isaac. We got to tour them around the squadron where Isaac saw his daddy's plane for the first time (see post here). He loved sitting in it and badly wanted to push the red button. On their last day we went to the Zoo where Isaac saw lots of animals close up. A few weeks later Isaac and I flew to Oregon for a very short visit. We got to see all of the Michener family and a few aunts and uncles. Isaac got to play with his best friend, Taylor who Isaac loved to screech at. This was Isaac's second time visiting Oregon and third plane ride. He did wonderful. At the end of the month, Isaac got to see his Partin Grandparents. While they were visiting we shopped garage sales and made a trip to the Old Boise Penitentry which was fascinating! Isaac liked hearing his voice echo in the old buildings, screaming in delight throughout the tour. Their visit was very fun as they hadn't seen him since he was a two month old baby and showing off Isaac is my favorite activity.
