 Lincoln Memorial:

The White House:
Then the Smithsonian Art Gallery Museum:

Then we met up with some friends to get a good spot for the firework show:
Emma thought David needed the hat on

Lots of people excited for the show to start:

It was spectacular!
Saturday:
We started off at the Smithsonian National Zoo

 then got some delicious Gyros:
Next, we took the metro to the National Library:

The Capitol:

Relaxing after two days of walking (and to watch the end of the world cup game)
We met up with friends next for a delicious pizza dinner
and gelato, before calling it an early night.
Sunday:
We stopped at Alexandria, Virginia on our way home:
We ate breakfast at BitterSweet cafe, where I found these "pupcakes" for Zoe.
Then we had to stop at Misha's Coffee Roaster
 decisions, decisions...
This cute vintage store called "The Hour" had EVERYTHING you would ever need for throwing a cocktail party, David was enthralled.

What a wonderful weekend spent in the most patriotic place in America. I'm so glad we were able to add this trip to our Baby-Moon ;)
