Things have been crazy around here, to say the least. I feel as though I've just now (today) settled in to the new swing of things. Here's the thing about the good'ol blog- there are no deadlines :) In the world of "everything needed to be done yesterday" that is a welcome change. Since Just A Partin Life is my creative outlet/way to keep y'all connected to us, it gets put on the back-burner when i'm stressed.
This is why i'm not your typical blogger-If blogging doesn't happen-it doesn't happen and I don't sweat it. Since I do this for fun, I can start and stop whenever I want. Isn't that wonderful?! Knowing myself, if I had strict rules about blogging a certain amount a week, or forcing myself go back and make post for the past events we've done- the blog would become a chore and no longer an outlet. Don't get me wrong, I love having a page that I can refer back and double checks dates of important events, or even relive wonderful memories; but if I miss a Christmas post, or don't post at all one month- that's okay with me. Sometimes we need to simply live life without documentation of doing so.
I rarely read blogs- which probably makes me a "bad blogger". That's okay, i'm more of the "user of a free-site which helps me update the majority of my loved ones all at the same time" type blogger anyhow. But when I do read blogs, I find that i'm mostly attracted to the ones that provide a personal connection and a windows into their life (pictures). Usually these types of blogs come in the form of a few posts a month which i'm okay with- I don't have the time or drive to read a blog daily. So being that those types are what draw my attention, that's the blog I want to have.

Anyways, all that to say- I love blogging but it holds a very small part on my priority list and that's okay with me. I don't expect anyone to miss my blog when i'm neglecting it for two months. When a few friends called to say they miss my posts, I was encouraged - I just might be managing to foster a long distance connection through my minimal posting-success! That's the MAIN reason this thing exists. I want all our loved ones to feel as though they know us and are up to date on where we're at (without spamming everyone's Facebook wall). We live far away and it's easy to allow the physical distance to separate our lives.
To my daily blogging friends- keep up the good work! I think it takes magical super powers to keep up a daily blog. That's the beauty of blogging- to each their own and I love that we all do this thing differently. Stick to your guns and blog the way YOU want-there are NO RULES to this thing :)
