Keep on Keeping on

Oh boy has it been a long week! (I'm aware it's only Thursday)
First of all it's finals week over here at the Partin residence. Got a big'ol 15 pager due by Sunday not to mention 6 chapters to read and two exams to complete. I can NOT wait to be done being a student. David agrees! He's been taking T-38's one painfully long day at a time.

This weekend he gets to ride the centrifuge (not so much a ride as something to endure). This is a G- Force simulator to make sure David can handle the G's pulled in fighters. Each G multiplies his weight, meaning 7g's on a 185lb man means he weights =1,295lb. David needs to be able to hold 7.5g's for a 15 seconds without G-LOCing or blacking out from lose of oxygen to the brain. He'll use certain flexing and breathing techniques to force air to the lungs and blood to the brain under the G-Force.
I added a video for everyone who wants to see what the centrifuge is all about.
(Watch the amount of G's on the top left of the screen.)

Looks fun huh? Not!

More news:
My little foster puppy has had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week as well. Turns out she has a bacterial infection on her tail. She went to the vet, got some good drugs and a nice cone (E collar) and was sent home. Within an hour of release I realized the cone was too small as she could still lick her tail. Back to the Tractor Supply for me to get a medium size cone. Next day- her tail was worse than ever. Turns out she's a crafty lil bugger and can prop her tail on the wall and lick it even with the cone on. So back to the vet she went and back to the ol' Tractor Supply I went to get a Large Cone (for 40lb + dog). Needless to say it wraps around her little neck twice but it's long enough to keep her trail protected. After staying the night at the vet (no appointments available) it turns out she had a bladder infection and was allergic to the antibiotics we were giving her as well. POOR BABY! She got a nice Benadryl shot (which made her cry all the way home) and a new set of pills. All week I have been back and forth from town (15 min drive one way) for every new cone size and vet visit but I think we finally have what Darla needs to stay healing and save her little tail.

A few images to make you say, "Awww"
