Antiques and More:
I will be going back to this little place over and over. The owners are a sweet married couple, he owns the Auto shop and she was given a "corner" of the office to sell her collected antiques. She now has the whole office filled with wonderful treasures which she sells fabulously low. I've never seen so many quality items marked at garage sale prices. I talked to the owner and was swept away by his southern hospitality. However, buyer beware they only accept cash or check. Sadly I didn't have cash on me so he called a friend "down at the bank" to see if he could help me out. I'll be back there next week.
Antiques on the Square:
I saw many wonderful things at this large two story antique shop. Some of the booths were way over priced but as I searched around I eventually came across a few sellers who know how to make a profit without over pricing their items. The women who work the shop are wonderful and most willing to help me find unique items i'd been looking for.
Now for the fun part: My Treasures Found!
These are only a few since the others are wedding gifts I don't want to ruin the surprise.
FOUND: Wood crates, Picture frames, Wooden planter, and Ceramic "flour" container (not pictured)
Still looking for more frames to add to my collection. These three were perfect a perfect starting point for this wall. Can't wait to see where it goes.
(and the greatest of these is Love)
Haven't decided if i'm going to hang the medium and large crate next to the shelf or keep them stacked. I love being able to change things around and these handy little guys are perfect for almost any spot as a filler or to be used functionally as shelves.
My new project is in the kitchen, cooking with sour dough. I can't wait to tell you all about my research and my starter being from the 1800's!!! The ceramic "flour" jar is meant to serve this purpose-more on that later!
Looks adorable Chels! Love those treasures you found. I've been staining crates from Michael's and I'm envious of your genuine old wood!
ReplyDeleteBring some starter back with you when you come! That is SOOOOOO cool! I'm looking forward to hearing about your sourdough adventure.
