Women who make all the difference

These women are changing my life:
Please meet Mrs. Bell, a beautiful woman of God who serves with her husband at Doxology. I met her when David and I got engaged because I knew marriage took lots of work and I needed all the prayer, advice, and help that I could get. She has an amazing 33 years of marriage under her belt and gives me tons of encouragement. Once I moved to Corvallis she and I started meeting weekly and it has been such a blessing ever since. She doesn't have a degree in counseling nor has she taken classes on what to do or say. When we meet for coffee she asks me how I'm doing with sincerity, laughs with me at my crazy circumstances, asks questions to get me thinking, and prays for me above all else. I don't need someone to convict me, fix all my hard situations, or steer me in the "right" direction- God knew I needed Mrs. Bell to just listen, love, and pray. Through her my marriage and relationship with Christ has grown immensely.

Meet my hero, Mrs. Kee, a incredibly supportive wife to an Air Force General. She is my go-to-gal who answers all of my questions. Sadly Mrs. Kee and I live states apart and have been face to face only once for a military event last year. However we email back a forth which usually consist of me expresses my anxiety over a misconception and her smoothing out the details as a well informed experienced military wife. I am extremely blessed that Mrs. Kee has walked where i'm going-starting with OSU graduation/commissioning of her Air Force pilot husband in 1985. She has traveled the world and raised several children very well- all while supporting and loving her husband with a smile. She is the woman I look up to and with her guidance and God's grace i'll continue in her tracks.

Meet the one who taught me how to smile, gave me confidence, taught me to be a woman of God, showed me how to love, and stayed a solid example for me throughout my life. Not every little girl has the blessing of a good mother who loves like mine. I am a very thankful to have my mother as my own who is not only beautiful but also intelligent, personable, loyal, brave, warm, and truly a selfless giver. I still learn from her constantly and will continue to look to her as my roll model.

Having women in my life like these is so important to me! Why should we repeat what others have experienced and learned from. In Titus wiser women are encouraged to help teach the younger how to love and support their husbands and care for their children. They are to be the guide for all of us just starting out- I've been blessed to have had a solid mentor from birth to present.
